One of the most dominant left-handed arms in Major League Baseball is cutting a real estate tie with his home state.
Astros starting pitcher Dallas Keuchel is saying goodbye to his Jenks, OK, home: a house located just 15 miles from where the ace helped lead the Bishop Kelly Comets to a state championship when he was in high school. Jenks is approximately 100 miles east of the state capital.
The home is modest by pro athlete standards, starting with its $314,900 price tag. Records shows the home was purchased for $287,500 in November 2013, which was Keuchel’s second year in the league. He made his MLB debut in 2012 at the age of 24.
The highlight of the three-bedroom, three-bathroom house is the dining room, according to the listing. It features a soaring ceiling, cut-out windows to let in the Oklahoma sunlight, and beautiful sconces with matching chandelier.

The two-story home has a game room upstairs and a bonus area that can be converted into a second office, hobby room, or children’s play room.
In the backyard, there is decorative lighting, a covered patio, and a porch—all of which is fenced in for privacy.
Reportedly, Keuchel also lives on the 26th floor of a high-rise building in downtown Houston—which might be a bit of the impetus behind the potential sale of this Oklahoma property.
A year after buying the home, Keuchel took his first big step toward stardom with the Astros. He won 12 games in 2014 and was awarded the American League’s Gold Glove at the pitcher position.
In 2015, Keuchel became a dominant starter and propelled himself into the top echelon of the league’s starting pitchers—winning his first Cy Young Award and second Gold Glove. Heading into 2017, Keuchel is scheduled to earn $9.15 million from the Astros after winning his arbitration case with the team.
