For lovers of the written word, you can now follow the real estate road traveled by one of America’s greatest poets.

A one-bedroom, one-bath condo on the market in Boston—clocking in at just under 600 square feet and renting for $3,600 a month—is in a building that was once the home of acclaimed poet Robert Frost. The small unit is carved from Frost’s former residence—in fact, we counted 19 units currently in the building.

The home even bears a plaque stating that the poet lived there from 1938 to 1941, while he was teaching at Harvard University.

Even if you’re already a writer—or want to be one—imagine the prose you could produce, inspired by this literary abode. And if you do sign your name to the lease, you’ll never have to worry about “the road not taken.”

Listed by Red Brick Real Estate, the condo is in the Beacon Hill neighborhood, which has charming historical touches including brick sidewalks, gas lamps, and row houses.

The unit also features built-ins for displaying decorative arts and a vintage Glenwood stove that would light the hearts of ambitious chefs!

The living room windows face Louisburg Square, and tenants have access to a rooftop deck for hosting small gatherings or dining alfresco. The bath in this unit has been updated, with crown molding and an archway above the vanity, as well as new fixtures, cabinetry, and countertop.

Born in San Francisco, Frost moved to Massachusetts with his family at the age of 11. He attended Harvard University in Cambridge, MA, during the late 1890s. After living in England with his wife, Frost returned in 1915 to Boston, where he died in 1963.
