The Manhattan condo where Iman and David Bowie lived for 20 years has come on the market, priced at $6.5 million, according to LLNYC.
The couple resided in the Central Park South apartment in the famed Essex House hotel from 1992 to 2002. Although the condo has had at least three owners since Bowie, his Yamaha piano conveys with the apartment. Imagine playing “Fur Elise” on Bowie’s piano!
The 1,877-square-foot condo features a limestone entry foyer, large picture windows with Central Park views, and a 28-foot-wide living room which opens to a walnut-paneled office. Bowie, who died in 2016 at the age of 69, was a pop singer and musical innovator for over 50 years. He sold more than 140 million records worldwide. Iman is a model, actress, and entrepreneur. They married in 1992.
