Realtor Whitehead makes a $6 million deal of his own in Florida

Merle Whitehead has made a rather significant real estate purchase along the southwest coast of Florida. The former CEO of RealtyUSA has purchased a mansion in Casey Key, a narrow island near Sarasota. The purchase price was $6,169,600, records show. The property, built in 1987, has six bedrooms, 6.5 bathrooms and 6,616 square feet. Seven years ago, the house sold for $4.5 million. The deal came nine months after Whitehead sold his ownership interest in RealtyUSA to Howard Hanna Real Estate.…
