Former San Antonio Spurs power forward Boris Diaw is settling into life as one of the newest additions to the Utah Jazz, after being traded north to Salt Lake City in July.

The 6-foot-8 Diaw made his on-court debut with the Jazz in late October. Exactly one week later, he listed his five-bedroom, 5.5-bath mansion in Shavano Park, TX, for $1.6 million.

The Mediterranean-style, 6,185-square-foot home was built in 2003 on a nearly 1-acre lot inside the gated community of Bentley Manor, located about 30 minutes north of the Spurs’ arena in downtown San Antonio.

A curving walkway leads to arched double doors, which open to a travertine entryway. The kitchen has dark wood cabinets, a wood-paneled refrigerator, granite countertops, a gas range in the kitchen island, and a double stainless-steel oven.

Just off the kitchen is the open-concept living room with a stone fireplace and dark wood, floor-to-ceiling custom bookcases. Seven panes of glass were used in the construction of a curved bay window in the breakfast nook.

The home features custom woodwork, including several coved ceilings in the main rooms. The large master bedroom has a coffered ceiling, and the bathroom features travertine steps to the tub, with a separate shower, and a bidet. There’s also a second-story theater and three-car garage.

The backyard features a custom pool, spa, and waterfall.

Diaw, 34, is a French basketball player who was selected in the 2003 NBA draft by the Atlanta Hawks. He played for the Phoenix Suns and Charlotte Bobcats before joining the Spurs in 2012. There, he helped his team reach back-to-back NBA Finals, both against the Miami Heat. The Spurs lost in 2013, but won the title the following year.

Property records indicate Diaw still owns a mansion in Paradise Valley, AZ, which he purchased in 2008 during his tenure with the Suns.
