Venture capitalist and Golden State Warriors majority owner Joe Lacob is selling his 4,100-square-foot mansion in Kailua-Kona, HI, for $7 million.
The four-bedroom, 4.5-bath home is located on the Hualālai Resort, which is run by the Four Seasons hotel chain. The single-story home, built in 2005 on a 0.64-acre lot, is set on a bluff and is one of the most private homes on the resort, with drop-away ocean views.
The home is designed for year-round, indoor-outdoor living. Nearly every room opens to the outdoors. The living room has striking floor-to-ceiling walls that can be collapsed, opening the entire space to a large lanai. The home was designed to resemble a traditional Hawaiian pole house, with large rooms that open to allow cooling western trade winds to flow through.

Lacob, 60, is a partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, one of Silicon Valley’s oldest and largest venture capital firms. He and a group of investors purchased the Warriors in 2010 for $450 million. Lacob infamously slept with the Larry O’Brien trophy after the Warriors won the NBA title in 2015.
