Nashville home sales start the year with a whimper

Realtors suggest winter weather is to blame for the year’s relatively slow start for Nashville-area home sales. According to the Greater Nashville Realtors, there were 2,298 closings reported in January, down 4.7 percent from January 2017. “Our area saw a full week of very cold temperatures and snow,” Greater Nashville Realtors President Sher Powers said in a news release. “This type of weather is hard on home buyers and sellers alike.” The median price for a single-family home sold…
