It will soon be up to someone else to find out what’s behind Door No. 1, as the children of the late Monty Hall, the beloved host of the game show “Let’s Make a Deal,” have just put their parents’ longtime Beverly Hills, CA, home on the market for $6.4 million.

“The Halls lived there happily since 1961,” says listing agent Wayne Saks of Rodeo Realty Fine Estates. Emmy-winning producer Marilyn Hall died in June, at the age of 90, and almost four months later, Monty died. He was 96.

The couple lived more than 55 years in the Mediterranean-style home built in the 1920s. Although they made some updates, including adding his-and-her bathrooms and closets to the master suite, the original floor plan and many architectural elements remain.

Those vintage elements include wood flooring, a step-down living room, colorful tile, wood beams, plaster walls, and arched doorways.

The lot is just under 10,000 square feet and includes a sparkling pool. The home’s located on one of the best streets in the Beverly Hills flats, just a few minutes from the high-end boutiques and restaurants of Rodeo Drive.

“Monty and Marilyn were an incredible couple,” says Saks. “They were very well-respected, yet they lived an understated life.”

The couple raised over a billion dollars for charitable causes, and hosted dignitaries and fellow celebrities at fundraisers and other events, many of them held in this very home.

Monty wasn’t just the face of “Let’s Make a Deal”—he was also co-creator of the long-running game show. He began his media career in radio in his native Winnipeg in the early ’40s and began hosting “Let’s Make a Deal” in 1963. His company, Stefan Hatos-Monty Hall Productions, is still involved with the show.
