Hello, sky and sea! A new luxury build on the wealthy barrier island of Jupiter, FL, priced at $37.9 million is the most expensive new listing this week on realtor.com®.

Dubbed Cielo-y-Mar (which translates to Sky and Sea), the almost 17,000-square-foot mansion has eight beds and 9.5 baths. It sits on 2 acres that stretch from the ocean to the Intracoastal Waterway.

“This is one of the most sought-after contemporary oceanfront homes in Florida,” says listing agent Chad Carroll of Douglas Elliman. “You have the best of both worlds—direct ocean access along with intracoastal views and a place to park your megayacht.”

The property was purchased in 2014 for $6.6 million, according to property records. The Palm Beach–based attorney and developer Richard Stone and his wife, Lesley Blackner, also an attorney, bought it in a short sale, according to Mansion Global. The couple had originally planned to renovate the existing structure as their primary residence, but decided to tear it down and build anew.

Ultimately they decided to sell it and stay in Palm Beach for family reasons. They also told the Wall Street Journal last March that the new build had become too big for them.

Although the couple consider it too large, it’s perfect for a space-hungry buyer looking for a brand-new residence that’s fully furnished, including an art collection worth approximately $5 million, according to Carroll. Even factoring in the furnishings and artwork, if the home is sold for near its list price, the sellers will make a tidy profit.

Designed by Silicon Valley architect Scott Hughes, the sophisticated stunner features beautiful ipe wood, a rain-capture cistern for watering the plants, and self-tinting floor-to-ceiling windows.

The private dock can accommodate a 100-foot-long yacht, and there are multiple decks, including one on the roof with a hot tub, private beach access, and infinity pool.

The interior layout includes indoor-outdoor living spaces, a dual-island kitchen with butler’s pantry, floor-to-ceiling walls of glass in the living room, a floating staircase, two home offices, a formal dining room, and family room.

Located on the south end of the island, the residence is adjacent to a 75-acre nature preserve. The property itself is landscaped with native plants as well as a 25-foot-tall sculpture by Eric Grate imported from Sweden.
