South Florida condo sales up, home sales down in July

Sales of condos and townhouses increased in South Florida in July, but closings of single-family homes were down slightly, according to the Florida Realtors. For both types of housing, prices continued increasing at a faster pace than local wages. There were 4,098 single-family homes sold in the tri-county region, a 0.5 percent decline from the same month a year ago. The median sales price increased 5.9 percent to $360,000.
