Retired six-time NBA All-Star Jermaine O’Neal has listed his megamansion in Southlake, TX, for $11 million. It could signal the next chapter in Drive Nation, O’Neal’s successful youth sports program.

The mansion is on a 5-acre lot located in a tony Dallas suburb and measures more than 16,000 square feet—ideal for a 6-foot-11 basketball superstar.

Built in 2012, it features luxe fixtures and finishes, including dramatic chandeliers throughout the home. Built as a sports enthusiast’s paradise, the home has a home theater, game room with bowling alley, weight room, basketball gym, pool with waterslide, and plenty of rolling lawns.

A lot of cash was spent to create the perfect atmosphere. So why would O’Neal want to leave?

Last month, the former center dropped a hint when he expressed interest in trying to replicate the success he’s had in Texas with Drive Nation in his hometown of Columbia, SC.

“I would love to partner with the city and private venture area to do something that is impactful, to keep our kids out of streets and prisons,” O’Neal told The State. “I want to make sure I am able to do something in my hometown.”

O’Neal entered the 1996 NBA draft right out of high school and wound up playing 18 years in the league. He made the NBA All-Star team six seasons in a row while playing for the Indiana Pacers.

In 2016, he started Drive Nation, a sports training facility in Irving, TX, where young, aspiring professional athletes get high-powered help developing their talents. The listing of O’Neal’s Texas home could signal he’s ready to move back to Columbia.

Regardless of the reason for the sale, there’s now an impeccable estate for sale that truly embraces the Texas “bigger is better” aesthetic. Forget home court—who wouldn’t want to be able to host a Monday night pickup game in their own gym with a true NBA pedigree?
