Charlotte area's inventory shortage eases some in July, but homebuyers still face uphill battle

Charlotte-area homebuyers saw what's become the local housing market norm — a depleted inventory — ease just a bit in July. Inventory in the Charlotte market fell an annual 16.3% last month, according to the Charlotte Regional Realtor Association's new monthly report. The CRRA pulls data each month from Carolina Multiple Listing Services Inc., covering 16 counties in the greater Charlotte region.
