Austin Rivers, point guard for the Los Angeles Clippers, is dribbling away from his Winter Park, FL, home. Built in 2012, the contemporary residence is available for $3.1 million. Or, at least it was: The home is currently in “pending” status after a few weeks on the market.

The 25-year-old bought the Florida abode in 2012, after joining the Los Angeles Clippers, coached by his dad, Glenn “Doc” Rivers. The younger Rivers was raised in the Winter Park area, where he led the high school basketball team to its first state title, in 2010.

The home he’s selling is also a winner.

Purchased by Rivers in 2012 for $2.7 million, the new construction was billed an “American Showcase Home” for the National Association of Home Builders. Designed and built by Phil Kean, this model home is “highly awarded and arguably one of the most recognizable homes in Winter Park,” according to the listing.

We can understand the appeal. The sleek lines, walls of windows, and indoor-outdoor space blend casual living with high-end luxury design. The 4,375-square-foot home has four bedrooms, four bathrooms, and two half-baths. It features state-of-the-art automation technology, a sound system, and energy efficiencies such as solar panels and LED lighting.

You’ll find an outdoor lanai with fountain, pool, and summer kitchen. Inside there’s a bar area and art gallery with a 14-foot-high ceiling. The master suite takes up the entire second floor. There are multiple private decks, a media room, and a home gym. Other amenities include a three-car garage, electric car charging station, and elevator.

The home is located one block away from the shops and restaurants of Park Avenue.

Rivers has played for the Clippers since 2015. He previously played with the New Orleans Pelicans, and he’s the first son to be coached by his father on an NBA team.
