Money can’t buy happiness, but it can buy you a private tropical compound, which seems like a decent start down the road to pure bliss.

For buyers on the hunt for luxurious island property (and who isn’t, really) and who have always wanted the opportunity to run into Mark Zuckerberg on their way to pick up a morning coffee, this may be their opportunity.

Listed for $70 million, the most expensive property in Hawaii is a sprawling Kilauea estate situated atop a seaside bluff on the north side of the island of Kauai.

The 15.33-acre property comes with one main house, two guest pavilions, and a caretaker’s residence.

And about that neighbor: Zuckerberg made headlines in 2014 when he purchased a whopping 700 acres in Kilauea for $100 million as a vacation getaway. The Facebook founder’s massive spread is almost adjacent to this prime piece of property up for sale.

This property’s main structure comprises four pavilions joined by open-air walkways, which allow you to enjoy the tropical breezes and surrounding lush landscaping. It includes multilevel outdoor seating and living areas, including a covered lanai, dining space, and sprawling decks. Naturally, there’s an infinity pool with hot tub.

The owner’s pavilion includes an open chef’s kitchen, media room, and exercise room, as well as a bar that also serves the pool area. One seating area is mostly surrounded by windows in case you don’t want to go outdoors but still want to enjoy the verdant landscape.

The master bathroom includes an indoor-outdoor shower, double sinks, and a dressing area. The two guest pavilions have king bedrooms, full bathrooms, and lanais.

Nearly every room includes a large picture window to take in the views, including vistas of Hawaii’s classic turquoise surf, volcanic mountains, and the historic Kilauea lighthouse. There’s even a small farm on one corner of the lot, which grows palm, citrus, and coconut trees.

If what’s there isn’t quite enough, there’s room on the property to keep on building. The new buyers could potentially add more homes, athletic courts, pools, or whatever else their imaginations may come up with in this tropical paradise.
