Former New York Giants quarterback Phil Simms is hoping his talent for passing accuracy applies to the real estate market.
Simms has listed his mansion in Franklin Lakes, NJ, for $8.25 million in the hopes of turning a nice profit on a property he bought in 1999 for nearly $7 million less.
The seven-bedroom, 11-bathroom mansion sits on the bank of its own private lake. The property includes 19.5 acres of lush New Jersey land.
The mansion’s many features justify its high price. The open floor plan features large rooms throughout, including a master suite with bath, study, and fireplace.

According to listing agent Charles Oppler, the living, dining, and family rooms are perfect for entertaining—and so is the country kitchen with its large dining area and breakfast nook.
A guesthouse, pool, fitness center, wine cellar, and grotto round out the mansion’s main features.
Simms became a Big Apple legend after leading the Giants to their first Super Bowl win in 1987. He was named MVP of Super Bowl XXI after throwing three touchdowns and completing 88% of his passes in a win over the Denver Broncos.
In 14 NFL seasons, all with the Giants, Simms threw for over 33,000 yards and finished his career just one touchdown pass short of 200.
