Before you think an additional $700,000 price cut on Chris Paul‘s mansion in Bel Air, CA, means that he’s moving away from the Los Angeles Clippers, take a deep breath.

Rumors continue to circulate that CP3 wants to hook up with a team where he’s more likely to snag a championship ring, but consider the fact that his eight-bedroom estate has languished on the market for nearly a year—making the price cut a savvy seller move.

And consider this: The Paul family has already moved on—they bought a 10,400-square-foot house in Calabasas for $9 million in December.

When the All-Star guard put his half-acre property with the 12,184-square-foot main residence on the market in August 2016, he was asking $11.5 million for it. In October he dropped the price to $10,995,000 before taking it off the market. He re-listed it in February for $10,250,000, and last week he reduced it to $9.55 million.

Paul bought the home four years ago from singer and songwriter Avril Lavigne for $8.5 million. He updated the main residence with hardwood floors, modern fixtures, and white gallery walls, according to the Los Angeles Times.

We’re sure Paul’s family—including wife Jada Crawley and kids Christopher and Camryn—enjoyed the double-island kitchen, 12-seat home theater, elevator, billiard room, and gym with sauna, as well as the backyard with covered entertainment area, kitchen, barbecue station, and pool. For the parents and their friends, that subterranean wine cellar with storage for 500 bottles was definitely a plus.

“It’s really an amazing piece of Bel Air that would be perfect for a family who loves to entertain and enjoy each other’s company,” says listing agent Ikem T. Chukumerije, of Westside Premier Estates. “From car lovers to workout enthusiasts, the 10-car subterranean garage and gym with sauna are two of the many amazing features of the home.”

Whether or not CP3 sticks it out in L.A. (or heads to San Antonio?), he’s sitting pretty. With the latest price cut and the Chargers on the way, we’re thinking it’s a perfect place for an NFL baller to set down L.A. roots.
