East Oahu neighborhoods experienced strong sales in May, with closed sales of single-family homes in the Aina Haina and Kuliouou area more than tripling, according to the Honolulu Board of Realtors monthly local market update. Last month, sales of single-family homes in the area increased by 220 percent to 16, while the median price nearly doubled, increasing 97 percent to $1,592,500, up from $810,000 last year.
