Actress Rooney Mara has stopped whispering about selling her Mid-Century Modern home in Los Angeles’ Los Feliz neighborhood. She’s officially listed it for $3.8 million, according to Variety.
Co-listing agent John Davidson told us the home was already the center of attention. “There’s been strong interest,” said Davidson, who’s co-listing the property with Nia Chea; both are with Keller Williams.
The home was built in 1963, but Mara’s renovations offer a modern sophistication to the mid-’60s structure.

The two-bedroom, two-bath contemporary sits on a ridge at the end of the Los Feliz Oaks cul-de-sac, which overlooks the Los Angeles Basin all the way to the Pacific Ocean on a clear day. Mara’s renovations include high-gloss terrazzo floors throughout; glass-walled living, dining, and cooking spaces; and retro mint-green kitchen cabinetry.
“Most of the original shell is here, which probably had wall-to-wall carpet, which back in the day was a sexy look,” Davidson said. “Rooney gave it a level of sophistication that the house has never seen.”
Mara bought the house in 2015 for $2.9 million. But don’t call the project a flip. The actress was living in the house the entire time. She’s just ready to move on to something else, Davidson said.
Mara, 32, was nominated for Oscars for her title role in “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” and supporting role in the romantic drama “Carol.”
