Dallas Cowboys running back Darren McFadden has put his 4,235-square-foot mansion in Little Rock, AR, on the market for $700,000.
McFadden, 29, bought the home almost exactly a year after he was picked fourth overall in the 2008 NFL draft, signing a six-year, $60.1 million contract with the Oakland Raiders. Records show he bought the house for $638,000.
The four-bedroom, 3.5-bath home is located in the upscale River Ridge neighborhood, on a private street named River Ridge Point. As the street name suggests, the home is perched high on a ridge on a 2.1-acre lot, with views of the Arkansas River.

Built in 1990, the home has a series of terraces that are carved into the ridge. Designed to take in the river views, multiple balconies and gazebos line the home. Outside there’s a pool with a deck and bar. Inside, the home has top-of-the-line finishes.

The home’s most impressive room, arguably, is the open-concept living room, which has three floor-to-ceiling arched windows and a pair of glass doors leading out to the wraparound balcony. The living room, which is anchored by an oversize fireplace, flows into the updated kitchen.
The larger of the kitchen’s two islands sits under a stamped metal ceiling. The other island has an electric cooktop. There’s also a built-in workstation, for sending a quick email over breakfast.

McFadden signed with the Cowboys in 2015 after spending seven seasons in Oakland. He spent most of the 2016 season on the sidelines, recovering from a broken elbow.
Earlier this month, McFadden filed a second lawsuit against his former financial adviser, who McFadden claims mishandled his money, including putting $3 million into a failed bitcoin venture.
