The “Celebrity House Hunter Mansion” in Washington, DC, which Huffington Post included in its “52 Most Successful Airbnbs in the U.S.” in 2015, is still searching for a buyer who wants to continue the home’s successful run.

Also called the “Celebrity Mansion” on Airbnb, the five-bedroom home initially hit the market in August 2016 for $4.5 million. The priced was reduced by $300,000 in March, to $4.2 million.

Visitors to the 5,000-square-foot house located in Dupont Circle are greeted by an 18-foot-tall entry with waterfall and koi pond.

The roof deck features a heated pool with underwater window into the living room. The game room has a pool table, pingpong table, poker table, and dart board.

The outdoor areas have views of Rock Creek Park and the tip of the Washington Monument.

The homeowner, Douglas Jefferies, charges guests nearly $1,000 a night to rent the house, where Ja Rule and Chelsea Handler have performed. Jefferies, who’s the founder of Results Gym, bought the home in 2004 for $950,000.

“It’s essentially two carriage houses combined together,” says David Getson of Compass, who is listing the property with Mandy Mills. “It’s gigantic with a pool and elevator. You enter through a London-style phone booth. It’s a great house.”

The house is also on the police radar. In May 2014, police said they could hear music coming from the house from one block away. In April 2015, DC’s attorney general sued Jefferies, charging him with essentially running a hotel and party venue without a license. According to the lawsuit, in one year the Metropolitan Police Department responded to about 103 calls, mostly complaints of “disorderly conduct.”

After paying $8,000 in fines, Jefferies rewrote his Airbnb ad. It now states that the house is not available for events, but is nonetheless a great getaway for “tourists & traveling businessmen.”

Either way, it could be a sweet income opportunity or a place for a buyer to take a posh permanent vacation in the nation’s capital.
