Big Island single-family homes sales rise as prices decline

The number of single-family homes sold on the Big Island increased by 7 percent last month, compared to April 2016, but the number of condominiums sold dropped 17 percent, according to information provided by Hawaii Information Service on behalf of Hawaii Island Realtors. There were 209 single-family homes sold in April, an increase of 6.6 percent from 196 homes sold during the same month last year.
