Grammy and Oscar winner Trent Reznor has put his modern Beverly Hills, CA, mansion back on the market for $5.75 million. The home’s current price exceeds the $4.5 million it was listed for two years ago.
A few houses in the surrounding Beverly Crest neighborhood have been razed or remodeled and sold for sums topping $20 million, so it looks like taking it off the market for a bit of time was a smart move for the 51-year-old founder of Nine Inch Nails. The musician bought the home in 2007 for $4.2 million.
The five-bedroom home was built in 1966, and has since undergone some stylish remodeling. Lending the home an elegant spaciousness are retracting french doors and walls of glass that look out to the infinity-edge pool and the canyons beyond.

A curving staircase from the two-story family room to the second-level bedrooms gives the home an aura of distinction. The master suite has a fireplace and deck; there’s also a sleek bathroom with soaking tub, steam shower, and pebbles—lots of embedded pebbles, which give the bathroom a tactile element.

For a true 90210 experience, there are huge gates for privacy and a home theater for private screenings.

Many associate Reznor with Nine Inch Nails, but he’s also an award-winning composer. He and composing partner Atticus Ross wrote the haunting scores for David Fincher films “The Social Network,” “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo,” and “Gone Girl.” Reznor and Ross won an Oscar for Best Original Score for “The Social Network” and a Grammy for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media for “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.” Reznor has several other Grammys for his work with Nine Inch Nails.
And he’ll be performing with the group again this year; Nine Inch Nails is playing at New York City’s Panoram and L.A.’s FYF Fest in July, and Riot Fest in Chicago in September.
