Hunter Biden—son of former Vice President Joe Biden—and his ex-wife, Kathleen, are selling their modest home on a fancy block in Northwest Washington, DC. They’re asking for $1.85 million.
The six-bedroom, 3,171-square-foot home is a four-level Colonial with hardwood floors, large entertaining spaces, a white chef’s kitchen with built-in banquet, and a master suite with two walk-in closets.
The lower level has a porch, family room, and bedroom. A patio and deck look over a wooded backyard. Records show the couple bought the house in 2004 for $1.1 million.

Hunter Biden made headlines in March 2015 when news broke that he had been dating his late brother’s widow, Hallie, after separating from his wife. Reports also claimed Biden had spent more than $120,000 on hookers, drugs, and a dark secret life.
“His spending rarely relates to legitimate family expenses, but focuses on his own travel (at times multiple hotel rooms on the same night), gifts for other women, alcohol, strip clubs, or other personal indulgences,” Kathleen Biden said of Hunter Biden in divorce papers filed in Washington, DC, Superior Court in February, according to the New York Post.
The DC house came up in the divorce filing when Kathleen said they have a double mortgage on their home and owe $314,000 in taxes. The Post reported the couple’s divorce was finalized in mid-April.
Hunter Biden is an attorney and the younger son of the former vice president and his first wife, Neilia Hunter. His older brother, Beau, died of brain cancer in May 2015.
