Lack of homes on the market results in local sales decline in April

Noting that a low number of houses for sale has “plagued” the market for two years, the Greater Milwaukee Association of Realtors reported a 4.1 percent decline in sales in April. It became one of only five months with declining home sales in the four-county area since fall 2014. Milwaukee County was hit hardest last month, with a 5.4 percent decline, followed by a 4.8 percent drop in Waukesha County.
