After sharing a series of social media posts of her friends and family bidding farewell to her Florida vacation home, Rosie O’Donnell sold the estate in West Palm Beach for $5 million.
The home, which was initially listed in December 2016 for $6 million, is just 6 miles from President Donald Trump‘s Mar-a-Lago. It’s possible her not-so-private feelings about her high-profile neighbor were behind her decision to take a discount on the mansion’s price.
But based on the sweet photos O’Donnell recently shared on social media, the house was a special place where her family made plenty of happy memories.
Built in 1957 and extensively remodeled and updated over the years, the mansion has five bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms. It comes with a one-bedroom, one-bathroom guesthouse, which the listing says is “ideal for nanny or boat captain.”
The 1-acre property has 178 feet of water frontage and a deep-water dock. There’s a fire pit out back that’s perfect for hanging out and watching the boats cruise by.

The O’Donnell clan still has plenty of places to call home. According to Variety, the “SMILF” co-star, “View” co-host, and outspoken activist holds a large real estate portfolio. In July 2017, she bought an $8 million New York City penthouse triplex, and she owns homes in the New York City area and in South Nyack.
