If you list it, they will come. For the right price anyway.

Coming off a stint with the Washington Nationals, pitcher Joe Blanton is making moves in 2018. To start, the reliever has relisted his sprawling home just outside Nashville, TN, for $1.69 million. It had been listed for $1.95 million in January 2017.

The Southern charmer is part of the Fairvue Plantation, a gated development with a golf course, in the town of Gallatin. On the banks of Old Hickory Lake, the home comes with its own boat slip. The idyllic backdrop is designated as a preserve for fish and waterfowl.

The home measures 9,057 square feet and has five bedrooms, five baths, and three half-baths. And befitting a longtime big-leaguer, there’s a major-league man cave. Throughout the home, the designers included lovely coffered ceilings, which add a formal flair and polish to the interiors. They even make the shuffleboard table and beer taps look dignified.

The home, built in 2007 and purchased by Blanton for $1.3 million, comes with an elevator shaft, home theater, and wine cellar.

Speaking of vino, it appears Blanton is ready to devote more time to his other passion—winemaking. Blanton and his wife, LeeAnnpurchased a Calistoga, CA, winery in 2015, according to the Los Angeles Times. They produce cabernet sauvignon under the label Selah Wines. They also purchased a three-bedroom home in Napa County in 2016 for $1.58 million.

Dating back to his minor-league days, the well-traveled pitcher was interested in learning as much as he could about wine. And now, the couple and their three children call Northern California home and have completely thrown themselves into the wine world, according to Selah Wines.

The Nashville native trading Tennessee for wine country is great news for a lucky buyer interested in a Southern lakeside retreat decked out with every creature comfort imaginable. We’re guessing the Blantons might even throw in a case of wine for the cellar to sweeten the deal.
