Lucky Brand CEO David DeMattei is selling his on-trend Los Angeles villa. The clothing executive has given the home a massive makeover and put it on the market for $5 million.

The property was purchased in 2015 for $4.2 million, according to property records. The “sophisticated, stylish, and chic” three-bedroom, European-style home has been “completely redone” and is located in one of the most “sought after areas of the city,” according to the listing. It certainly is an expensive area of the city.

But as with premium denim, you will certainly appreciate the designer details.

Start with the living room with a 14-foot-high ceiling that looks out to city views. The formal dining room has a towering, arched, and coffered ceiling with french doors opening to a dining terrace overlooking the pool, garden, and city.

The kitchen was recently remodeled and updated. The sitting room offers views of the pool and grounds, and the master suite comes with a private terrace.

The walled and gated property also has patios, outdoor dining, along with a pool and spa.

The decor could still be that of DeMattei’s, curios, sculpture, and artwork recognizable from when he and his professional and personal partner, Patrick Wade, redid their 1920s Italianate-style Beverly Hills mansion in 2013.

The remodeled stunner, which was showcased in Architectural Digest, was eventually sold for $8.8 million, and the couple moved onto the next project, which is this place on the market.

DeMattei and Wade’s San Francisco Edwardian renovation was featured in SFGate in 2010. That home was sold when the two moved to L.A., where Lucky Brand is headquartered.

The fashion brand, known for high-end denim, was founded in Los Angeles in 1990. DeMattei, who joined the helm in 2010, has been credited with bringing new life to the company with updated fashion and accessories for women.

DeMattei previously worked in the home and kitchenware industry, where he served as group president of Williams-Sonoma Home and West Elm brands.
