Home, Cheap Home: 8 Great Homes Under $100K You’ll Want to Buy

homes under $100,000

realtor.com

We love a bargain. But in a tight housing market, real deals can seem increasingly difficult to find. So leave the bargain spotting to us!

We’ve previously scoured listings for homes under $500,000, and under $200,000. This time around, we challenged ourselves to see how low we could go—setting our budget at just 100 grand. And we weren’t tempted by shabby shacks. No, we wanted lookers that were discount delights.

We learned that even homes priced way below the U.S. median list price of $274,000 still need to offer up some real amenities: a nice location, an updated interior, lots of acreage, even some real style.

Amazingly, we think that we have found eight perfect properties around the country that check many of those boxes. Yes, it’s possible to buy a home for the price of a kitchen remodel in some parts of the country. Naturally, some of the houses could use a refresh, but for the low, low list prices, you can budget for a renovation.

Low on price, these listings are high on charm. Scroll down to check out these bargain-basement-priced homes.
