New Baltimore Ravens running back Danny Woodhead is headed back east. The gritty gamer with a big motor unloaded his four-bedroom spread in the suburbs north of San Diego for $820,000.
The former San Diego Chargers tailback and his wife, Stacia, bought the home for $780,000 in 2014, shortly after Woodhead inked a two-year contract extension with the Chargers.
According to public records, the sale of Woodhead’s home closed on March 15. True to winning form, he got the price the home was listed for in early February.
The 2,575-square-foot home is located on a tree-lined cul-de-sac in the Ridges neighborhood of Westwood in Rancho Bernardo, a family-friendly suburb about a half-hour away from downtown San Diego. It has three bathrooms, hardwood floors, solar panels, an attached two-car garage, and a remodeled kitchen with granite countertops.

The master suite, which is upstairs, includes a luxe bathroom with tile sourced from Italy, according to listing agent Anne-Marie McCormick, of Keller Williams Carmel Valley.
The home’s expansive outdoor living space is “just beautiful,” McCormick says. “It’s very private and was really tastefully and thoughtfully designed with an outdoor fireplace and fountain, which is actually also an in-ground spa.”
The new owners will have access to the Westwood Club, a private facility that offers a pool, tennis and squash courts, miniature golf, weight room, indoor basketball court, and billiards.
Woodhead, 32, signed a three-year contract with the Ravens in March. Only 5-foot-8, he’s carved out a big career as a prime-time player after joing the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent in 2009. Versatile and determined, he’s amassed nearly 5,000 yards and 32 touchdowns over his career thanks to his elite receiving and rushing skills.
