Warriors Superstar Steph Curry Close to a Sale of His Carolina Home

NBA superstar Steph Curry is ready to slam home a sale of his North Carolina home. The Carolina native purchased the European-style home in Waxhaw, NC, with his wife, Ayesha, for $1,275,000 in 2011, and a sale appears imminent.

The home initially splashed down on the market last year for $1.5 million. Earlier this month, the home reappeared for the reduced price of $1.19 million—less than the couple paid for the home some eight years ago. But we’d guess the MVP won’t mind losing a few dollars on the sale to reshuffle his property portfolio.

Right now, the home is in contingent sale status, so the three-point king is close to the final buzzer on the deal.

The huge home measures in at 7,650 square feet and offers four bedrooms, four full bathrooms, plus three half-baths. The grand foyer opens to a living and dining space with a soaring vaulted ceiling and a stone fireplace. Other spaces include a formal dining room and a gourmet eat-in kitchen.

The private master suite on the second floor includes an office, wet bar, bath, and access to one of two terraces. One floor up, you’ll find a media room, library loft, and three additional bedroom suites.

The lower level is where the action truly happens, with a bar, billiards table, home theater, a bonus room for a gym, and a wine cellar. The courtyard-style yard is easy to maintain, great for parties, and even big enough to add a pool.

Curry now lives in the Bay Area, where he’s in the middle of yet another dazzling season with the Golden State Warriors. He recently moved into third all-time in the NBA for three-pointers, behind only Reggie Miller and Ray Allen. The 30-year-old All-Star—who’s played for the Warriors since 2009—has led his team to three NBA championships.
