When we discuss A-lister Brad Pitt and real estate deals, we’re usually dissecting luxurious multimillion-dollar spreads. However, this tale of fame and foreclosure is different.

A New Orleans home that Pitt helped build through his Make It Right foundation is now available as a foreclosure for the low, low price of $85,000.

The mint-hued property was part of the foundation’s effort to revive the Lower 9th Ward neighborhood after Hurricane Katrina hit in 2005.

Pitt’s foundation, started in 2007, helped to rebuild the neighborhood with tiny, modern, affordable homes for residents affected by Katrina. Unfortunately, at least in this case, the home wasn’t affordable enough and wound up being owned by the bank.

A home going into foreclosure suggests the owner could no longer make mortgage payments. The bank took over the property and is selling it at market value.

The 1,100-square-foot home has three bedrooms, two-baths, a balcony, and an open living space with clerestory windows. The home is energy-efficient and incorporates green building design.

This home is one of 100 or so homes built as part of the foundation’s project. Homeowners were able to customize their paint colors, flooring, and countertops.

According to NOLA.com, this home has already received multiple offers.
