Duplex Penthouse 74 at 111 West 57th St.—a supertall and superskinny tower rising over Central Park—has landed on the market as the week’s most expensive new listing on realtor.com®.
The luxury unit in midtown Manhattan is now available for a cool $57 million. Amy Williamson of Douglas Elliman holds the listing.
The 1,428-foot-tall skyscraper will house 46 full-floor and duplex residences. Located in the street that’s come to be known as “Billionaires’ Row,” the big-ticket tower is expected to be completed by early 2020, according to Mansion Global. The prices for units in the building will range from about $18 million to $57 million.
The apex of the building’s price point, “Duplex Penthouse 74 combines the grandeur of expansive living on two full floors with spectacular vistas perfectly centered over the entirety of Central Park,” the listing description notes.

The high-ceilinged layout features 7,128 square feet of living space with four bedrooms and 5.5 baths. The opulent accommodations start with an entry that combines white macauba stone floors and an oval staircase that connects the upper and lower levels.
The formal Great Hall features gray solid oak parquet floors and ceiling heights of 14 feet, spanning the width of the building. Floor-to-ceiling windows framed in bronze showcase park views. The formal dining room also boasts skyline vistas.
A corner kitchen provides high-end appliances from Gaggenau, with quartzite counters, and includes a built-in coffee machine, as well as such conveniences as a pot filler, and side-by-side fridge and freezer.
The stairs and a private elevator lead up to the master suite, which features a sitting area with a wet bar overlooking the park, along with two dressing halls, and a walk-in closet. The master bath includes a free-standing polished nickel tub situated in front of a wall of glass. The upper level includes two more bedrooms and a library. The fourth guest suite is on the main level.
On top of the sky-high list price, the monthly homeowner association fee adds another $15,049.
Residents of the exclusive building will enjoy perks such as a lap pool with private cabanas, along with a spa, fitness center, 24-hour attended entrances, and dedicated concierge service.
Another unit in a different high-rise tower in NYC also hit the market this fall, nabbing the title of the week’s most expensive back in September. If you prefer to live over a museum, the penthouse perched over MoMA is still available for $64 million.
