Denver ranks high for income after housing, other expenses — or does it?

A recent study ranked Denver third among cities in the west for maximizing workers earnings, because of housing prices lower than the regional average. For a city experiencing an acute a housing shortage and a troublesome rise in costs of living, the results were, well, surprising.
