The number of homes sold last year in the Louisville area by Realtors rose 8 percent from 2015, to 17,653 from 16,337, according to a Greater Louisville Association of Realtors report. The median price for homes was up 5.2 percent in 2016. In Jefferson County, the median price was $162,000.
