Journeyman pitcher Chris Capuano hopes his five-bedroom, six-bathroom home in Scottsdale, AZ, looks like a juicy hanging slider to a potential buyer. The left-hander with almost 15 years of service in the big leagues recently listed his 5,235-square-foot property for $2.2 million.

The price is a nice jump from the $1.45 million Capuano paid for the home in 2009—the same year he underwent his second Tommy John surgery.

The home is tucked into Troon Mountain, and scenic views of Scottsdale are a prime feature of the gated, 11-home community named Troon Village. The home’s expansive floor plan features five guest bedrooms, all with baths and walk-in closets. There is also an office with a private patio.

The master suite features a large dressing room, custom cabinetry, fireplace, and master bath with steam shower and jetted tub. Soaring ceilings greet the potential buyer upon entry along with a stone fireplace separating the living and dining spaces. Bi-fold doors retract to create a seamless indoor-outdoor living space. Outdoors, there is a built-in barbecue and kitchen.

It wouldn’t be an Arizona mansion without a negative-edge, heated pool with swim jets and spa. Four additional fireplaces, a four-car, air-conditioned garage, and a temperature-controlled wine room round out the mansion’s features.

Capuano broke into the majors with the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2003 before being traded to the Milwaukee Brewers a season later. The left-hander won a career-high 18 games in 2005, boasting a career-best 3.99 ERA in 35 starts with the Brew Crew. A season later, he made his lone All-Star team and two seasons later, he went on to pitch for the New York Mets.

This offseason, the 37-year-old signed a one-year deal with the Brewers in a return to the Wisconsin club for a reported $5 million. Over the course of his career, Capuano has also pitched for the New York Yankees, the Boston Red Sox, and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
