DJ and recording artist Samantha Ronson is hoping to beat a path away from her cozy little home in Santa Monica, CA, by dropping it on the market for $1.3 million.
You might think the price tag sounds hefty for a bungalow built in 1925 that has only two bedrooms, two baths, and a total 1,170 square feet of living space, nestled into a 2,436-square-foot lot.
But even if the home’s celebrity pedigree means nothing to a buyer, the location does. Situated near the Santa Monica/Venice border, the home is within walking distance of the beach, Rose Avenue, and the trendy shops and restaurants of both Main Street and Abbot Kinney.
At $1,110 per square foot, the price is only slight higher than $1,092 average for the area, and it’s well below the neighborhood median sale price of $2,370,000.

The most distinguishing feature may be the graffiti near the front door which reads “Keep coming back,” but there are other desirable features: ample natural lighting, a backyard with picnic area and fire pit, stainless-steel appliances, hardwood floors, a wood-burning fireplace, and a master bath with dual sinks and a claw-foot tub.

Listing agent Carl Gambino of the Westside Estate Agency wasn’t at liberty to discuss his celebrity client, but we suspect that there is probably music in the air here, as it’s likely Ronson worked on her latest music within these walls.
And if celebrity family members like her stepfather Mick Jones, Foreigner’s guitarist; her brother, Grammy-nominated producer Mark Ronson; or perhaps her twin sister, fashion designer Charlotte Ronson, spent time in Santa Monica, the creative vibe within the walls may be even stronger.
We’re unsure whether Ronson’s most prominent social connection, Lindsay Lohan, graced the home with her distinctive presence. Ronson bought the home in 2011, and the ex-gal pals have recently started hanging out again.
