Home sales in the Louisville area continued to ease in October, but prices remained strong. The Greater Louisville Association of Realtors reports that its members sold 1,012 homes in Jefferson County last month, down 1 percent from a year earlier. But the average home price was up 10 percent, at $217,639. And the number of active listings as of Oct. 15 was down nearly 2 percent, at 2,600.
