Marc Anthony Scores Impressive Waterfront Mansion in Coral Gables for $19M

Marc Anthony really has something to sing about. He recently purchased a waterfront mansion for $19 million in Coral Gables, FL, the Miami Herald reported.

The 12-bedroom home was a custom-designed Mediterranean property recently completed in 2016. And although the pop star paid a pretty penny for the private estate—the most ever in the exclusive enclave, notes the Herald—he actually scored himself a deal. 

The property was initially listed back in 2016 for a jaw-dropping $27.26 million. With no takers, the home was placed back on the market this year for $24.9 million, then sold to Anthony at an even deeper discount. Along with a stellar singing career, the 49-year-old has demonstrated he’s got some serious chops when it comes to real estate.

So what does the performer get for the price tag? Called Casa Costanera, the massive build was taken on by Bacardi heiress Hilda Bacardi, who spent eight years on the project, according to the Real Deal.

The modern mansion sits on a corner lot, with 1.3 acres and over 480 feet of water frontage and a 100-foot dock. While the photos don’t offer a peek inside, with almost 21,000 square feet of living space, we’re guessing it’s worthy of an A-lister.

The listing description says the space boasts designer finishes, a commercial elevator, three separate kitchens, a family room, wine cellar, office, separate staff quarters, plus a guesthouse, multiple outdoor spaces, and a pool. 

Located in the exclusive Cocoplum community, the home is situated on the Coral Gables waterway with direct access to Biscayne Bay. Anchors away!

The Real Deal points out that the posh property is also near the address of baseball legend Alex Rodriguez, who is dating Anthony’s ex-wife, Jennifer Lopez.  

Anthony is the top-selling tropical salsa artist of all time. The winner of two Grammys and five Latin Grammys has sold 12 million albums worldwide.

The seller was represented by Barbara Estela with Douglas Elliman and Coconut Grove. Nexxos Realty represented the buyer.
