Milwaukee-area home sales up in January despite 'chronically low' inventory

Milwaukee metro home sales were up 4.3 percent in January thanks to a boost in activity in Milwaukee County, according to the Greater Milwaukee Association of Realtors. Milwaukee County’s monthly home sales were 7.4 percent ahead of January 2016’s count. Sales were flat in Waukesha and Washington counties, and down 1.7 percent in Ozaukee County.
