After overseeing numerous remodels, TV star and comedian Kathy Griffin is finally satisfied with her sprawling, modern home in the Hollywood Hills. So, she has decided to sell the place.

Griffin recently listed the 8,095-square-foot home with a view of Universal Studios and the “Hollywood” sign for $5.5 million. She’s already moved on to a bigger home in Bel Air, CA, for which she paid $10.5 million.

The Hollywood Hills home was built in 2003 and has five bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms. Griffin has given the interior a Mid-Century Modern vibe, with wall coverings, water features, terrazzo floors, and stacked-stone accent walls.

The home appears to hover over the hills. In fact, the house was dubbed “Wings,” because it resembles a bird in flight.

Griffin paid $2.85 million for the property in 2004, then bought two adjacent, nonbuildable lots, to ensure privacy and security. The gated property’s total size now is just over an acre.

“She stayed in that home for quite some time and remodeled it to her own needs and tastes,” says The Agency’s Aileen Comora, who is co-listing the property with agent Paul Lester. Comora notes that Griffin’s taste is very dramatic yet livable.

If the house looks familiar, it’s because it was often featured in the comedian’s self-titled reality show on Bravo, “Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List.”

It offers the perfect work-from-home setup, with a glass office with killer views and “a master bath with seating for 10. That’s right, you can have meetings while taking a soak,” she joked on a house tour with “Entertainment Tonight.”

The home has a covered outdoor patio with fireplace. The chef’s kitchen features quartz and Caesarstone countertops, an eat-in breakfast bar, high-end appliances, and a lounge area with fireplace. Griffin claims she can’t boil water, but guests have fully enjoyed her fabulous dining area.
