Bumper-to-bumper traffic in the City of Angels is a common complaint among Los Angelenos. But now, an under-construction rental on the cusp of Century City and Beverly Hills will include a host of amenities so residents won’t have to waste hours in their cars.
In a city that’s equally as known for image-consciousness, this also means obviating the need to drive to their Botox appointments.
Yes, that’s right. Ten Thousand—a 40-story tower at 10000 Santa Monica Boulevard where rents will range $8,500 to a cool $25,000 per month—will include a wellness studio where on-call doctors can come administer Botox injections.
That’s just one perk on offer at this 283-unit development, which is slated to debut in January, Bloomberg reports. Los Angeles is a homeowner’s city, and this level of amenities is a big way to lure folks who prefer the flexibility of renting.
Forget driving to work: There will be a boardroom designated for holding meetings. And forget about finding a designated driver to take you home from happy hour: Ten Thousand will also have a full bar.
Want more? The indoor lap pool will have underwater speakers, four butlers, plus a one-acre park that will sport a theater and fire pit. That park will also have designated space for dogs to run about, but if busy residents don’t have time for that, then building staff will be able to walk them when nature calls.
Coolest of all are Ten Thousand’s predictive technologies. For instance, syncing up with tenants’ phones and tablets will let building staff know when to start prepping a morning cup of Joe for them. Also, elevators will know residents by their key cards, and will automatically transport them to their specific floors. For those with allergies, the technology will also prevent them from splitting rides with animals.
In the Big Apple, we’re accustomed to such fittings. The newly debuted amenities at the towering 432 Park Ave. include an 18-seat screening room, a 75-foot lap pool and a private full-floor eatery helmed by Michelin-starred chef Shaun Hergatt. Meanwhile, Tribeca’s 111 Murray St. development will offer its deep-pocketed residents access to private planes, thanks to a partnership with Blue Star Jets.
Ten Thousand currently has 2,000 people on its interest list, Bloomberg notes.
