Good news for buyers: Columbus housing market snaps a 91-month streak

Inventory is up. For the Columbus residential real estate world, that says it all. The number of homes on the market in the city increased to nearly 5,600 in September, up 2.6 percent from this time last year and breaking a 91-month streak of declining inventory of homes on the market. The number is important because fewer homes on the market drives up prices and escalates bidding wars.
