The most expensive rental apartment in Los Angeles has landed on the market at a staggering $100,000 a month. But when you learn about the features and amenities this one-of-a-kind penthouse offers, you might believe the six-figure sum is a royal deal.

For starters, the 18,000-square-foot unit takes up the top two floors of the posh LEVEL building in downtown L.A. It also comes with an additional 8,000 square feet of outdoor living space in balconies, terraces, and pool area.

The luxurious unit has four bedrooms and 10 baths, as well as four over-the-top kitchens and a 480-square-foot walk-in closet with a TV lounge.

“A lot of people wonder about the kitchens,” LEVEL General Manager Javier Cepeda says, “but once you understand that this is an entertainer’s dream, it makes total sense.”

There’s an open family kitchen with a massive island for daily cooking. Attached to the family kitchen is a catering kitchen, which can be used for party prep. Both of those facilities are on the 34th floor.

On the 35th floor, which features a 50-foot pool, there’s an outdoor kitchen and a catering kitchen. Of course, all four kitchens come equipped with Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances.

With that many kitchens, one formal dining room isn’t enough. There are two indoor dining spaces, in addition to a poolside dining area. You’ll also find a sun deck, 12-person hot tub, steam room, fire pit, and lounge area.

There’s more! Since this is the ultimate posh penthouse, there are two temperature-controlled, full-display wine rooms that each hold more than 1,000 bottles. You’ll find them located under the unit’s two staircases.

There’s also a media room with plush seating for 15 guests and an automated projector screen.

The outdoor living spaces allow views of Los Angeles, from the Hollywood sign to the ocean and beyond. If it’s too chilly on the balcony, you can still enjoy the views through the penthouse’s floor-to-ceiling windows.

The place comes fully furnished, as do all the units in the LEVEL Building. According to Cepeda, a one-bedroom unit goes for approximately $4,500 a month, while a three-bedroom unit goes for $15,000.

Building amenities include a fitness center, basketball court, outdoor yoga center, rooftop pool with private cabanas, outdoor dining area, steam and sauna rooms, and a meeting space.

There’s also valet parking, although you won’t be needing your car much because the building is within walking distance of Staples Center (where the Lakers, Clippers, and Kings play), LA Live, the Fashion and Financial Districts, as well as restaurants and bars.

For the demanding tenant, concierge service is available 24/7 to score tickets or dinner reservations. But what really excites potential tenants, according to Cepeda, is the housekeeping service. The luxury unit has a washer and dryer, but you’ll never have to use it for linens, which are supplied by the building.

“You’ll have all the amenities of a five-star hotel,” says Cepeda. Which is all a penthouse tenant would expect when paying $1.2 million a year in rent.
