South Florida home sales down in August

Home sales declined in South Florida during August, although prices were higher, according to the Florida Realtors. In many markets, the biggest issue constraining sales was the lack of supply for moderately priced homes. Sales of single-family homes in the tri-county area declined 9.5 percent to 4,147 in August, compared to the same month a year ago. The median sales price grew 8.6 percent to $342,000.
