Donald Trump's childhood home in queens, NY sells

Get ready for some huge and tremendous news! Those eager to experience some of the 45th president’s unique aura up close and personal are no longer confined to wearing “Make America Great Again” trucker hats or trying to finagle an invite to one of his luxe golf resorts. Folks craving a more memorable adventure—and a glimpse into Donald Trump‘s life before he became leader of the free world—can score a night in his childhood home in Queens, NY. All for just $725 a night!

Trump obsessives of all political stripes can now rent Trump’s boyhood home on Airbnb, the New York Post reports. The five-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom house, which can sleep up to 20, is located in the wealthy enclave of Jamaica Estates. The president lived in the 2,000-square-foot home that his father, real estate developer Fred C. Trump, built until he was 4 years old.

“Not much has been changed since the Trumps lived here, the kitchen is original and the opulent furnishings represent the style and affluence in which the Trumps would have lived,” states the Airbnb ad. “This is a unique and special opportunity to stay in the home of a sitting president.”

That $725 is a relative bargain considering that a room in the Trump International Hotel & Tower New York, in Manhattan, can cost well over $1,000 a night.

But the hotel rooms don’t come with life-size cardboard cutouts of the 45th president of the United States in the living room, the way this place does. The home is also filled with antique furnishings and chintz chairs.

Bonus: The larger, three-story home that Trump’s father put up to replace the home that’s now available on Airbnb is visible from the backyard of the original home.

However, there is a catch. The home’s inhabitant still lives in it, so one of the bedrooms is permanently off-limits, according to the ad. That individual did not immediately respond to a request for comment from realtor.com®.

A buyer with the corporate moniker Trump Birth House LLC purchased Trump’s childhood home for $2,140,000 in April from real estate developer Michael Davis. Davis had flipped the house within just a few months for a 58.5% profit.

The investment property was then put up for rent in June. It was leased out sight unseen for $4,000 a month—$500 more than the asking price—within an hour.

“We think lots of people will want to stay there,” Davis told the Post of the Airbnb listing. “It’s good value, and it’s a part of history regardless of people’s political affiliations.”
