Home sales were sluggish in South Florida to start 2019, with volume down by double digits in January, according to the Florida Realtors. That makes two straight months of disappointment for realtors, as December sales were also down. There were 2,502 single-family homes sold in the tri-county region in January, down 15.4 percent from the same month a year ago. The median sales price grew 5.9 percent to $349,450.
