Large, brick, and impossible to miss, the former Stock Exchange Building has anchored the heart of downtown Bisbee, AZ, for the past century. The historic structure in the desert is now available for purchase for $3.5 million.
After a total renovation down to the studs, the 10,000-square-foot property has been updated to create a brand-new saloon, restaurant, and bed-and-breakfast. The resulting businesses all pay tribute to the area’s Wild West mining town history, while standing ready to welcome a new generation of visitors to the charming Southern Arizona town.
Built in 1905, Patricia Ann Steward oversaw the building’s renovation and calls the property a “grand, old dame.”
Now the three-story building houses three distinct dining and entertaining venues as well as 10 suites on the third floor. There’s also street-front retail space for budding entrepreneurs.
The property has retained plenty of historic appeal, including the original E.F. Hutton Stock Exchange board from 1914 in the saloon, the functioning antique mesquite grill in the kitchen, and the carefully restored mural in the restaurant.

“A breath of fresh air was breathed into this old girl, and she is a beauty,” Steward says. “The building is special and historic, the crown jewel of Bisbee.”
Once home to the enormous Queen Creek copper mine, Bisbee now boasts a thriving community of artists. It’s also a destination for tourists in search of all types of outdoor activities in the mountains of Southern Arizona.
Steward talks about the project in this video:
Now that the renovation project has wrapped up, listing agent Jenna Loving says Steward is eager to sell it and move onto her next adventure. All this grand old dame of a building needs now is a new owner to take it into its next century.
