Actress Ariel Winter, who plays brainy Alex Dunphy on TV’s “Modern Family,” has made a smart move in the realm of real estate. According to Variety, the teen star found a buyer for her home in Sherman Oaks, CA, after slicing the price twice.
The home was initially listed for $1.75 million in May, then reduced to $1.7 million in June. The settlement price was $1.65 million in July. She bought the house in 2016 for $1,575,000.
Built in 2016, the home features a 14-foot entry, skylights, an open floor plan, wine cellar, and wide-plank wood flooring. The four-bedroom, 4.5-bath home offers over 3,200 square feet of living space. The kitchen features a large center island topped with quartz counters, country-style sink, and butler’s pantry.

The master suite features a large walk-in closet, bathroom with marble stall shower, large soaking tub, and scissor doors that open to a backyard lap pool with spa.
Winter traded up recently and bought a 5,000-square-foot home in Studio City for $2.7 million, Variety says.
Winter, 19, is planning to begin studies at UCLA in the fall. She’s said to be considering becoming a lawyer, her fallback profession in case the whole acting thing doesn’t pan out.
