Median sales prices for Oahu homes surged last month when compared with September 2015, according to a report released Tuesday. The Honolulu Board of Realtors Local Market Update showed gains in condominium and single-family home prices in affordable and pricier island areas. In the costlier neighborhoods of Kapahulu and Diamond Head, the median sales price for single-family homes in September increased 25 percent to $1.13 million from $906,000 when compared with the same month last year.
