Actor Emilio Estevez–don’t you forget about him!–has finally found a buyer for his Malibu estate on Point Dume. After three years on and off the fickle Malibu market, with prices ranging from $6.4 million to $10 million, the home was last listed for $6.5 million. We haven’t pinned down exactly what the buyer paid for this property, which features a micro-vineyard.
Variety says a brick-paved drive winds through rows of grapevines and leads past a guesthouse to the hacienda-style, 3,700-square-foot main house, with four bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. The home features combo stone/hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings, and hand-stenciled doorways.
Outside, a brick terrace wraps around three sides of the house and sports a huge fire pit. There’s also a swimming pool and spa, raised beds for organic Victory gardening, a fruit tree orchard, and more vines for Estevez’s own Casa Dumetz label of artisanal wines. In 2011, he told Bon Appétit he had devoted 80% of his vines to pinot noir grapes.
Estevez is the son of legendary actor Martin Sheen and the big brother of bad boy Charlie Sheen. He was a chief member of the so-called “Brat Pack,” back in the 1980s, when he appeared in several teen flicks, including “The Breakfast Club” and “St. Elmo’s Fire.” The actor/director/producer is married to boutique vintner Sonja Magdevski.
